Wow, so inspiring.

That is a very inspiring story. It stimulated my interest to manage my personal finances; cash back cards and others very carefully so I can somehow give back to my Alma mater, in a very humble way, as well.

I wouild love to hear the rest of the story... when she started to accumulate that money, how she did it, and her mind set.

You also gotta wonder why she never spent the money. Obviously she was a saver type of personality. It just goes to show, you can't take it with you.

Hey Folks, I just wanted to share this piece of news I saw on a U.S. Morning show GMA. I thought it's a really great story of an outstanding lady.

The Secret millionaire pertains to Grace Groner, who passed away last January at age 100. She's very frugal with her money, she lives in a one bedroom house that was supposed to house servants she inherited from a friend, she has no car, and mismatched furnitures. So a lot of people were surprised when she contributed $7 million to Lake Forest College, her alma mater, when she died. It was a really worthy cause. The money donated will help hundreds of students pursue internship and study abroad programs.
