I was going to suggest a turkey call but I guess a whistle would do ok too.
Don't worry about it being illegal or not; cops don't care about collection agencies. Besides you're just responding to their call. Just use of reasonable force for self defence principle as per Section 372 (3) of the CCC.

The "Brian Pitkin Method" is basically the same method that Monty and Angella advocate; the same one that XDebt_Collector and countless others used. (Expect the same results they got and stock up on your stamps, stationary and digital tape decks with lots of memory). Out of the 700 or so posts I've made, there's dozens referring to the "Jackson Method." Typing in "Jackson Method" under "members search" button pops up a few of them. Or try typing in "Optingout" and go to the "I'll save you Olive Oil" thread.

Basically the method exploits 2 very, very, very very, very obvious principles that's are a collection agency's weak spots: (1)They make their living off the telephone, you don't and (2) What goes around comes around. Think of what immediate consequence flows from that - Hammerheads don't like to get hammered; and believe me, collection agents are merciless hammerheads.

And so when I see people writing in that they are mercilessly being hounded by collection agents, I ask (that is, besides why some lucky people get to have all the fun), why they needlessly put up with it.

Raymond

sorry - I'm new to this - what's the Brian Pitkin or Raymond Jackson Method?? if you just want to direct me to an earlier post on it that would be fine.

would blowing a whistle into the phone be illegal?? |t's not like he would report me - since he's not supposed to be calling anyway right??

thanks

Aren't all collectors the same? I always think they are emotionally handicapped.

That may or may not be his real name. Anyhow, since you live in Ontario, I suggest you try either the "Brian Pitkin" Method" OR the "Raymond Jackson Method." For sure, one of those 2 will solve your problem.

Excel Collection Agency

Wow - I can't believe that there's no posting yet for Excel. Has anyone had experience with Ashton Harripaul. What an ignorant ass he is. I've been negotiating with most of my creditors and getting somewhere - but he is absolutely the worst - he's ignorant, screams so loud that I can't keep the phone to my ear, and when I tell him my rights and what his code of conduct should be - he says "I don't give a rats ass". He's received a cease and desist letter from me - but still calls. He represents Household Finance. Where do I send a complaint about his code of conduct to?? I've already sent some to emails listed on their website - half the email addresses listed there don't work.

I guess he figures if he scares me - money will somehow appear in my bank account - and I will be able to pay him out.

I wish I had video phone - cause I've got him pictured as an angry little man - who's feet probably don't touch the ground when he sits in a chair.
(visualization can sometimes keep me from getting upset when he calls).

Anyway - I hope I hear from some of you about him.

later
