Thank you everyone for the great advice.
I applied for a Capital one Guarantee Master Card... It is not a secured Credit Card and I got approved. I don't even have to pay a security deposit on that. SUpposedly I should get my card in 7 to 10 days.
That was so easy I can't beelive it actually.
Thank you again for all the post.

The chances of getting a $75.00 secured card from capital one these days are slim to none. Why would any one want to get a secured card knowing the only way to get your security deposit back is you have to close your account. The best option is the major banks and you get your deposit back after a year and no later then two years and you get to keep on your using your card.

Having said that... the major banks will want at least $500 down as a security deposit.

It's cheaper to get into a capital one secured card as it costs between $70-$300 depending on your credit history.

Also, Capital One allows you to apply online... you don't have to go into the branch. The purpose of the card is to help restore your credit...

I would go to the major banks for a secure card because after a certain length of time in good standing they will return your security deposit. The only major bank that doesn't offer a secure card is BMO.I would stay away from capital one, home trust and horizon because they will not return your security deposit unless you close your account.

We have these secured cards on this site:
/secure-credit-card-info.html

The capital one has a low security deposit, making it affordable.

Credit Rebuilding

Postby patricia13 » Thu Apr 08, 2010 10:59:19 AM

Can someone let me know what secured Credit cards are available out there. I can't use TD since I had a credit card with them that went into collections in 2004. That is when I did my Customer Proposal. Customer Proposal was done as of April 2008 and now I am thinking about buying a house in the near future and wanted to rebuild my credit.
Thank you for all your help
