Thank you, I hope this will be the last of it, I will show this to my husband and hope that this will put his mind somewhat at ease. The female from CRS said she would take care of it at the end of the conversation, but I have a gread deal of difficulty in believing or trusting this company. :)

I just received another collection notice (bill) from CRS for the same account, which is now stat-barred, for which I was taken to court and the action was dismissed and now they are sending me another notice. I called, told them this conversation was being recorded, female said we don't allow our conversations to be recorded, so I said fine then you will just shut up and listen to what I am going to say, which I advised her of the above and told her that if they continue to harrass me I will be the one who sues. My husband who is in poor health has once again become very upset and fearful of these people. Something needs to be done about the tactics they use. I am interested if this has happened to others and what the best course of action would be

How did god and morals get on this thread? It was simple case of csr tried to get something and they had no proof ,end of story.Anyone can file a claim but if you dont have proof it wont go anywhere. Like global47 said its over and let it end right there.

"We are still obliged to settle the debt when and if we become able."

Ahh but in BC not legally obligated.

Also remember....since this debt was in BC, after the 6 yrs it is extinguished.....it no longer exists, unlike other provinces where it lasts forever.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!
My settlement conference was this morning Crs had nothing no proof absolutely norhing. other than a statement they printed up. The judge dismissed the claim, and I am free and clear, So if you get anything from CRS demand proof, nine times out of 10 they have nothing. Thank you all for your concern and your good advice you kept me sane through all this.

So I get yet another call from CRS about the settlement conference and wanting to change the date. I told them no way I am ready to deal with it then, so now I am wondering why they are so opposed to the December 24th date. I have made up my mind that is the date I will deal with it, I don't want it hanging over my head over Christmas and I am wondering if they can change it, and if they try if I can oppose it

My daughter thought that she wrote that since my husband was declining so rapidly, that I am an emotional basket case. She thinks she offered to pay them 50 a month, so they wouldn't bother me, and she lost her job shortly after so she just "forgot about it". She says she can't really remember as it was six years ago. She did say the person she talked to imtimidated her so much about what they could do to me she felt like she had no choice but to send them something. It was also a very traumatic time for her as well, it is her step-dad but they are very close and my husband did go into cardiac arrest and seizures and was dead for 6 minutes. His ongoing health issues are also now in part to being clincally dead for 6 minutes and deprived of oxygen
