At this point legally they can do nothing to collect the outstanding bill as the 2 year Statute of Limitations has run out. Some debt buyer has bought this old account for pennies on the dollar and are now trying to collect on their investment. By threatening you with court.
Although they can no longer use the courts to collect they can hound you forever, as the debt still exists.
Rogers can also deny you any future service till its paid.

The rogers bill has been 4 years now, and I keep telling them, do what you gotta do, and all they do is call for a couple months, then stop, then start again and honestly its 700 bucks she just told me today!

Just make payments directly to rogers and keep the proof of your payments. They won't refuse your money.

I did speak to someone there and they said it has gone beyond them and now I have to deal with TCR
