Thanks Sher, I'm really happy its off there however VERY disturbed how Equifax handled it. 3 months later, I sent proof etc. etc. All I suggest to anyone who has got themselves into debt or collections, paid or not paid, SAVE EVERYTHING! old invoices, credit reports, receipts of payment for a long time. You never know when you will need them.

Shouldn't speak so quickly.. I guess I purchased my score power a couple of days too early. ITS BEEN REMOVED!!! Finally after 3 months!!!
My FICO score went up to 696 from 683. So 13 point increase! WOO HOO!! (just waiting for my 2002 late payments to purge and I will easily be over my goal of 720!!) SO STOKED!

IT FINALLY CHANGED!!!

Postby gillian25 » Tue Apr 15, 2008 10:34:45 AM

It's been 3 months now.. no change. I do have something new written on my credit report though. Under soft inquires it states, "Letter sent corresp"(514-493-2314) <--- equifax's number. I sent a letter in back in January... they date this soft inquiry on 2008.03.03. Grrrrr
Just purchased my credit report this week and nothing has changed.

I thought the creditor had a "resonable amount of time" to inform if the debt was legit or not. "Resonable amount of time" i think is outlined as 30 days. If nothing is reported then they remove it.

I may be wrong but I thought I heard this.

yes after spending the time and energy attempting to correct inaccurate information reported on my credit report it STILL has not been fixed. Equifax has sent 3 requests for information to the particular company I am disputing and they have not replied to any of the requests. I have been TOLD by Equifax that nothing will change until they recieve a reply from this company.

Is there no time limits on this?

anyone know?

This ticks me off.
I don't like Equifax right now... grrrrrrrrrrr
