hey pablomax,
You're Equifax and TransUnion scores are never the same.

You can contact the creditor and ask them why their information is not recording properly.

By law, everything on your credit report must be accurate, complete and verifiable, or it must be deleted.

Update:
I have recently changed banks , I brought both copies of my credit report (Equifax and Trans union ) when setting up an investment account for them to comment on, I was surprised to learn that they use Transunion not Equifax, good for me seeing the diffierence in scores.(see my original post)
Regarding the outdated or missing information on my Equifax report, they either haven't received the information or it isn't being updated according to the bank.

I had a collection on my equifax report, that I disputed. I sent in the dispute in early Feb and got a letter last week saying they removed it. I may check my report ot see how my score changed, and also becuase I paid off a CC in full.

I recently received the very same. How can Equifax supply you with to totally different reports?

Is there nothing that can be done about this?

I recent received my Credit Report. I am however a little confused by the dates that show up under the above noted.

There is a date for Collection Reported and one for Date of Last Payment.

What date is actually used for the purging of information?

good luck with Equifax - they will fight you to the end ... and since 4 out of 5 big banks use them - yuo need equifax more than transunion. The form is BS - use your provincial consumer affairs if information is correct - they are under no obligation to correct anything unless the creditor tells them to ...

2 credit reports 1 good 1 bad ?

Postby pablomax » Fri Mar 14, 2008 06:47:07 PM

First time post.
I have recently ordered a credit report from equifax and transunion.
I cant believe how different they are.
The transunion score is 849, Equifax is 643.
Transunion , from what I can tell is up to date , easy to read and of course I like the score.
Equifax is lacking in information, far from with current information and the score sucks.
I printed the form they offer on their website, is this going to be a long process?
thanks
