I am excited that Saskatchewan won the game.

THey played poorly though. Probably nervous about the magnitude of the game.

Dinwiddie did pretty well.

All in all, Saskatchewan has had a long drought and it feels good to have a Grey Cup that we can talk about until the next one... 18 years from now!!

I'm sure that all of the Winnipeg fans partied as well.!!

Hey, Monty, Toronto is LUCKY to have Saskatchewan and Manitoba there, especially after the "blizzard!" School classes were cancelled, not to mention the traffic nightmares, etc. lol

I was watching the news last night and the Grey Cup event planner was thanking his lucky stars that our teams are in it.
Sure, he would prefer to have the Argos playing but he said the next best scenario was to have our two teams.
I still can't get over the fact that Winnipeg is an "eastern" team, how bizarre is that?
I'll ignore the "NOT" comment and catch you on Monday.

Hey Sher871,

Well ... who ever wins, it's the talk of both provinces I'm sure.
The only problem is that the game is being held in Toronto... I hope they can keep the excitement going like we can!

Best wishes to the Blue Bombers, NOT!!! :)

Congrats to your Roughriders, Monty!

It's such a shame about Kevin Glenn breaking his arm and not being able to play in the Grey Cup! In the first play of the fourth quarter last weekend, Glenn reached for the ball on the ground and Toronto linebacker Kevin Eiben lunged for it and landed on Glenn's arm.

Ironic!! - since it also Eiben who started trash-talking the Bombers the minute he learned we'd be playing the Argos in the finals - he told the press he "guaranteed" that the Bombers wouldn't be able to score more than ten points. HA! Turns out the Argos couldn't even GET to ten.

Ryan Dinwiddie has only been our relief QB and what a way for him to start - in the Grey Cup - no less! It could be a storybook ending or it could be a disaster.

Regardless, Monty, I hope it's an exciting game and may the best team win.

What a great day for Saskatchewan!!

Saskatchewan Roughriders beats the BC Lions 26-17

I'll be honest, I thought Saskatchewan wasn't going to make it, however, they did, and they beat a good team with the Lions.

What a great end to the weekend!!

With Winnipeg's Glenn breaking his arm, Saskatchewan should have a good chance of winning the Grey Cup this year!!

In the meantime,
Saskatchewan Roughriders beats the BC Lions 26-17
