Did you experience accepting one of those invites to apply for a low interest credit card? Make sure that you are equipped with information before you affix your signature on the dotted line.

Years back, Greg Lipinski signed up for several low-interest credit card offers, however, he did not read over the contract and verified what he was getting himself into.

hi..

you would need a credit card if you do earn good income but some people do need extra cash to live a peaceful life. good for you that you have a lot of cash reserves. but, have you ever though how convenient it is when using a credit card?

when you are using a card, you don't need to bring cash along which is prone to be lost or you get to lose some amount. maybe this haven't come into your mind, but you can be robed as you walk in the street or even in your car.

that's true that people do fight over these plastic cards but i don't think everyone have experienced that. their are also some people who are responsible enough in spending or using their cards.

all this talk about credit cards, saving money spending money. Where's the peace in all this? where's the serenity and all this?

maybe this is not the place to ask but it just seems like this discussion forum is over busy with the topic of money and getting things. Especially credit cards. If he lived a organic green lifestyle you should need all this plastic. You pay cash for everything you would need low interest credit cards. If you saved your money and had cash reserves the little more peaceful life. You would pay with cash, and that's it.

In my opinion 90% of the things people buy what credit cards are not priority by any means. So many marriages are destroyed by credit and being in debt. So what's the benefit of having low interest credit card or any credit card if you're just in a fight about it.

The world needs more peace and harmony I don't think credit cards are all a peaceful and harmonious.

hey average_joe... the capital one smartline rate is promotional in that it's guaranteed for 3 years... having said that, that is probably the average amount of time that a credit card will keep it's rate...

All of my credit cards have fluctuated rates in the last year after the credit crisis. The credit crisis is a good excuse to raise rates.

hi..

i have searched the credit card over the net and found out that it do has low introductory APR. if you want, check and compare it with other credit card. you can see under the column of APR rate that it do have low rate than the other cards.

here is the link of the credit card listing:
/low-interest-credit-cards.html

other credit cards you will see do have APR ranging from 9.99% to 14.99%. the card i have seen on the page that follow a lower rate is the Capital One - Gold MasterCard®; 11.99% Guaranteed for 3 Years (as long as you pay your bills on time)!

i think Capital One do offer good introductory APRs.

I don't think the Capital One SmartLine Platinum Mastercard is an introductory rate.

hi..

5.99% is the best interest that a credit card holder can get. prime rate do change the introductory rate once the offer of the 5.99% will be over. by that time the interest rate would be higher depending on how much is prime rate of the credit card issuer.

however, when the prime rate start to take effect, you can find a better card that offer more or less of the same interest rate as well as the benefits and features. for the meantime, let your friend enjoy the card but remind him to always take note of the period where the 5.99% is effective.

if you don't mind. what is the specific name of your friend's credit card? who is the credit card issuer?

thanks..

He loves the card and he has no annual fee.The other credit card companies are always trying to get his business, but they will not match the 5.99%.I read somewheres the 5.99% is going up in a few years because the of the prime rate.

hi average_joe

what are the feedbacks of your friend from the Capital One SmartLine Platinum Mastercard?
is the person you know enjoying the benefits and features of the card?

i know he can save a lot from the card as it doesn't have any annual fee. having the 5.99% interest is a good deal for anyone that would get a low interest card.

did your friend decide to add a reward miles or cash back rewards program to his/her Capital One card? it is possible and available but it is completely optional. however, if this additional features are added, it would now require a certain amount of annual fee.

hi there,

anyone who can help me with my problem of which card will i get. i am planning to go on a trip to the Bahamas and i want to save some money coming from my expenses. i have heard that their are a lot of good cards available but im confused to what card will i get more savings. i would be spending around $10,000 to $15,000. do you prefer a rewards credit card or a low interest credit card?

my goal is just to get some savings out of the amount i will spend for my trip. at least i can use the returned money or any savings for some other services. i don't want to get out of the budget i have set for this vacation.

give me some credit card in which it is best for use and could provide me great benefits. thanks.
