Foreign exchange is one type of trade business.I think Canadian dollar is good in position compared to others where as British pound is falling.

the British Pound is falling with the US dollar stabilizing a little bit... Good for Americans going to Britain.

Setting aside the fact that the Canadian dollar is higher than the US dollar right now, the US economy is much larger than the Canadian economy and the strength of the dollar encouraged many foreigners to hold dollars as a hedge against high inflation in their country. That demand for US dollars kept the US dollar above the Canadian dollar. Now that the US dollar is plummeting foreign demand for US dollars has fallen. That is one of many reasons the Canadian dollar has surpassed the US dollar.

Looking at the way Canadian Dollar is behaving today at-1.02238,I wish it stabilizes before the elections in US for the benefit of all the consumers.

agreed....
The Canadian dollar is 0.98282 today...

It has stabilized, but it's pretty high right now. It's not the best for Canadian exports, but IS good for people travelling to the U.S.

The Americans are seeing what it's like to have a weak dollar these days!

I just now went through the link and there is no doubt that the Canadian dollar is stabilizing gradually.

I just got this chart from - http://www.xe.com which is where I go when I want to see what's going on with the Canadian dollar.

I'm curious that the dollar was at $1.10 against the U.S. dollar a few weeks ago, and was pretty volatile. Now it seems to be stabililizing around the $1.00 mark..
