Just wondering what happened with the lawsuit. I too wish to start a class action. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I can see why collection agencies would want to settle out of court. It would be interesting to see what the demand letter or the small claims court documents used to scare the collection agencies into settling out of court. Also, can you please pm me the case law you have.

Thanks in advance.

Ottawasingles,
It is hard to find any case law on collection agencies as most settle out of court to avoid court records being created and being used in future.

I do have a case law and order i can email you were the person was awarded 25 grand plus costs etc etc and the judge order his order be sent to the appropriate govenment office for action, this is never done
Here is the last paragraph of order to long to post intire order here

"¶¶ 54 The defendant is hereby advised that I have caused a copy of these Reasons to be sent, without comment, to the Registrar of Collection Agencies.

MOLLOY J"

(email me for the order michaelepower@gmail.com)

Do you know where I can find cases of people who SUCCESSFULLY sued a collection agency? Also, how much can you be awarded if you are successful?
