I think asking for all the little details and sounding professional must have scared them off?!?!?

You actually yelled at a woman for just doing her job? That's pretty amazing! I mean, she gets this file saying you subscribed to a Rogers service and you never paid. She calls you, and confirms right party contact. She informs you that you had this service. You knowing you didn't decide to take your anger (??) out on the collector instead of initially requesting information as someone could have defraud you? The first thing in my mind would be curiosity, not anger.
As far as asking for the account details so you could inquire about them with Rogers, that wouldn't have scared anyone off, that's just (edited for language). I'm pretty sure iQor, Inc formerly CBCL - Canadian Bonded Credit Limited - Now Iqor Collection Agency works Rogers first assign accounts. That means, the service could have been installed in your old apartment 7 years ago, you just forgot to remove it, and who ever moved in had the service automatically installed. Surprisingly perhaps paid it, then stopped. As far as Rogers not being able to pull the account, who knows -- they're all a bunch of losers over there anyway.
I doubt it's the last you've heard of them anyway. Rogers likes to pull accounts from agencies anywhere from every 3-6 months.
