After researching the topic, the login sessions only run for 24 minutes of inactivity...

After that all of the information such as UserID is deleted...

So... if you're doing a long post, it might be an idea to write it out in notepad, and then post after it's completed... this would be especially true if you're going to finish the post at a later time...

This makes perfect sense now...

I usually do a post and then save it right away.

Monty... I don't know how your program works, but it may have to do with an automatic log out when the screen is inactive for a period of time. If the person takes awhile to type in their message it may consider the screen inactive and log them out.

When I posted mine and my name was lost, I left it for a bit, plus posted a longer message, and when I hit "submit" the board asked me to log in again, but posted my message anyway.

I'm going to build a little bit of a system to figure out why people's names are dropping from their posts....

As I built the system, I test everything slowly and painfully.. somehow somethings gotten through the cracks.
