monoline credit card companies are those who sole or main business is credit cards. These companies have larger ups & downs for profitability due to the more volatile business model. A bank credit card companies has many ways of generating funds so they are less volatile. Capital One is an example of a monoline company.

I just signed up again to see my equifax score, expected it to be down a bit due to some recent inquiries, but wasn't expecting these weird lines.

What's Impacting Your Score

Below are the aspects of your credit profile and history that are important to your Equifax credit score. They are listed in order of impact to your score - the first has the largest impact, and the last has the least.

Worst rating ever on monoline credit cards trades.
Worst rating ever on national credit cards trades.
Number of inquiries in previous 12 months.

The number of inquiries makes sense but those other two?
Monoline?

all my accounts are R1, no collections, and a score of 709.

Whats up?

Is it possible to "black out" your personal information and "scan" your report onto this forum?

If not, send me a PM and I will provide you with my email address as well as a fax number. Then I can examine it and try to make some sense out of it.

Did you order a Credit Score separate from a Credit Report and did you receive it in the mail?

Or did you download your Credit Report AND your Credit Score from the Equifax website?

I have something very similar on my Equifax score as well.

It reads....

"Below are the aspects of your credit profile and history that are important to your Equifax credit score. They are listed in order of impact to your score - the first has the largest impact, and the last has the least.

Worst rating ever on monoline credit cards trades.
Number of non-revolving trades ever 30+ days.
Average utilization for open trades. "

I have no idea what all this means on my credit report, nothing else is mentioned of it elsewhere in the report.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Darned if I know. Maybe you got one from the Philippenes. The girls down there can get quite prankish, considering what they're paid.

Well, Daniel, I have my credit report in front of me and it says exactly what I quoted. When I phoned Equifax, they acted as if they couldn't understand what I was trying to tell them. And my bank is questioning the statements as well.

No idea what you're talking about. I've never seen comments like that on any Equifax credit report.

"Definemeatall" is not an Equifax call center representative. It's likely the forum owner just burying what he thinks are vitriolic comments by other bloggers, which are detrimental to his advertising revenue.

No lawyer will be able to help you with unsatisfactory or incorrect credit reports.

Your reply is an unacceptable answer. Of course the information is visible to the creditor because it is on my report - the bank was the one who initially questioned the statements in question. What an unprofessional answer from the Equifax Call centre: saying "it's only for you and for our eyes only..."

I want a legit answer or I will have my lawyer deal with it.
