If you think you can get less....go for it.
Just make sure you have a proper settlement agreement in hand.
Else it will just start over again.

Don't you think 30% is too much knowing the debt has already been passed to 3 rd or 4 th collection agency? The debts is from 2005

Yes, the debt still exists and they can continue to hound you.
Offer what you can comfortably afford. Start at about 30%.
If you deposit money into a bank you owe they can legally sieze it up to the amount owed. Do not deposit into any branch of a bank you owe.

Get a secured card and pay it on time all the time. This will help rebuild your credit.

Postby Raspotine007 » Mon May 14, 2012 05:31:12 AM

hi all,
all of the bad loans and credit that i have on my credit report has been droppet, my question is :
1- can collection agencies still call me and harass me and if i decided to agree to pay how much percentage on the dollar i should offer?
2- will i be able to open an account at any of the bank that i used to have a bad credit/loan? will they open an account for me.
3- how can i build my credit back again
