I asked you nicely to stop responding to my question. I'm not sure why you are still doing it. I give up. I'll find the answer somewhere else. Now, shoo, please.

You need to read and understand the answers that are given to you..
The answer is yes you can file a dispute and have it removed....but....your original creditor will have the proof...they will just need to search for it if they infact sold your file.

And as the other answer that was given...it will take time to be removed.

Simply because the collection agency does not have the documentation....your creditor does so that will prevent the removal....now move on...sheeesh

Proof of Debt, 3rd Try

What if a creditor (or the collection company the debt was sold to) is not able to produce proof that I owe them anything, can I insist that the item be removed from my credit files?
