"how long ago did the realator pull it up and how old is the debt? "

We looked at the report online (via realtor / mortgage brokers account) June or July this year.

Debt was last active 2003.

I sent CRS a letter stating "do not call" and "I dispute the debt". Sent it registered. Hey the calls stopped.

Got my TransUnion and Equifax credit reports I was going to dispute the debt and have it removed from my credit report. Both of these are clean R1, I1 on everything.

CRS item does not appear anywhere on these reports.

It originally came up when I was at a realtor who pulled my information.

So where is it? Or perhaps I need someone who is more familiar with these reports have a look at them.

Any suggestions out there?

Thanks.

Visit the following website for information on obtaining a copy of a judgment

http://www.attorneygeneral.jus.gov.on.ca/english/courts/civil/suing_and_being_sued_9.asp

I am not aware of any judgments issued by a judge in the Small Claims Court in Ontario are published in either a central database or by a legal publishing service.

If you are curious to know if a default judgment has been registered against you, I would suggest that you visit the Small Claims Court Office which serves the municipality or area in which you reside. The clerk will search the records to determine if a judgment has been registered. If a judgment has been registered, you can obtain a copy of the judgment. A photocopy fee will be charged. If no judgment has been registered against you, the clerk will inform you that the court has not issued a judgment against you.

Given that Ontario Court Judgments are a matter of public record...is there a site one can go to to see if a judgment has been registered againts one selve....ie: a default judgment?

I have a question....does anyone know the answer.
Assumming you have not acknowledged in writing the debt or made any payment towards it during the 2 yr stat....can a judge refuse the expiry of the period as a valid defence against the lawsuit?

Thanks for the info / reference.

I don't know they seem to get pretty worked up when you are not on the defensive with them laugh at them or generally not intimidated.

Is there concensus on this? So I can get this 8 year old issue off of my credit report?

Now to get them to stop calling. Change my number? Or... not sure if I want the girl to stop calling. She was quite amusing... getting angry I asked, "So, when you go home to your husband, boyfriend, girlfriend or ahhh cucumber after work, do you have angry sex?" She flipped.
