I don't think they have to quote an account # they just do the whole "can you verify this" bullcrap.

Did you ask or did they say their agency name? They can do searches and stuff like "geographical search" trying to locate every possible number/address that's ever been tied to you, that's how they probably know your personal info. Don't worry.

Best advice at this point and time, you paid it off, let it go, live your life. Congratulations! Ahaha :D

Thanks, but I paid it off. It 'went' to collections. I typed 'went' because even though an agency was contacting me about my outstanding debt, they didn't quote me an account ###. They knew how much I owed and some personal info, but for some reason as I went through my encounters with this agency I started to feel as though my bill wasn't really sent to them in the first place and that they were just upping the pressure. Does any know if Fraud-gers does this and is it legal?

How much debt? Do you work? Do you intend to pay it off? Some through my experience don't go to collections until about 3 months.

You said you're making payments so I don't think it'll go to collections until you stop making payments altogether.

I owe rogers some money. I making very small payments. They're both under a month due. I plan to pay them off but I'm up to my eye balls in bills. How long do I have legally until they send my account to a CA?

Thanks in advanced.
