hey guys here a piece of advice most of the managers at CBCL/IQor are very ignorant, honestly a lot of them are annoying as well specially on how they handle things

Whether your reason is annoying prank calls, you forgot to ask a client his/her phone number, or someone left a message you are unable to make out but you have their phone number on caller ID, doing a Reverse Unlisted Phone Numbers can be very beneficial.

you can go to a solicitor and ask them to send a warning off letter to the company who is calling to tell them to stop

I have started to receive AUTOMATED calls from Canadian Bonded Credit... they quote me a number and tell me to call a toll free number which does not look toll free 1-877-505-2115... and I called and it is out of service... I am wondering if this company is legitimate... I was home on their last call and touched *0* as requested only to be put on another line which just kept ringing.. I am hoping that it is not a scam to run up my phone bill...

Anyways... if anyone knows anything about this please inform ne.. Thanks DOR

Call your phone company and tell them that there is some mistaken identity.

Next, ask the callers who they're looking for and from which credit company they're with.

It sounds as if the people calling have old outdated contact info for the person they're calling. That's not your fault. That's a problem with database management.

It's the responsibility of the company calling you to keep their records up to date.

If you think they're harrassing you, the phone company can help, along with Provincial Justice - Consumer Protection.
Collection agencies have to be careful in whom they contact and the information they give out.

I moved to Toronto in September 1999 and applied for Bell telephone line. The first week after the phone was connected I started to get phone call and message. The callers were looking for someone whom I don't know and never heard in my life. I thought they dialed wrong number, so I ignored the message or told them that they dialed wrong number and I don't know the guy they are looking for.

I tried to explain they have the wrong phone number, but the guy at the otherside of the phone line was rude most of the time. For unknown reason they stopped call my phone for one year. But suddenly the haunted message come back yesterday and today.

The caller phone number is 1-800-281-9643 which is CANADIAN BONDED CREDITS.

I will deeply appreciate if you could give me any advice how to let them stop the harrassment.
