The CB`s are in collaboration with the CA`s, are being paid big money by them and other creditors, and judging from the many, many stories on this forum where consumers have fought for months and years trying to remove wrong info, and probably many millions more stories out there, the CB`s don`t `GLADLY` remove anything. They`re `investigations` are ludicrous. They don`t give a damn about you the consumer, since they don`t get paid by you the consumer, unless YOU the consumer PAY THEM to get a copy of what THEY are reporting about YOU.
When there are NO LAWS that state they must report credit items from creditors, whether true or false, and if you as the consumer tell them to remove any items true or false, and they don`t comply, why not sue them for slander/libel. Are they protected by laws to prevent this? Millions of Canadians who have sat in a chair at a creditors office and been turned down for a loan, have in some way been made to feel, belittled, ashamed, almost a criminal,.... because of what the CB`s report.
I would also be curious to know if this has ever happened in the US. I`m sure if someone started a class action lawsuit against the CB`s, everyone in the country would jump on the bandwagon.
Any lawyers out there???
