Hi everyone, I also have recently started to receive the incessant automated phone calls from a company claiming to be "Canadian Bonded Credit". At first my answering machine message would cut off the beginning of the autodialer message but I was able to determine that the call was for me, and that I was to return their telephone call quoting account number such-and-such when replying. At first I let it slide since the call was a one-time occurrence. Now, however, the calls are coming 3 to 5 times a day (which, through more research, I have found seems to violate some kind of rule about limiting calls to three times in seven days). I have tried calling them at the number that comes up on my call display - sometimes I get caught in a wicked on-hold loop and sometimes the number just rings and rings and rings (usually around noon, draw your own conclusions). Anyway, since so many of you seem to not be able to find anything out about iQor, Inc formerly CBCL - Canadian Bonded Credit Limited - Now Iqor Collection Agency , I did some digging and I have some info for all of you:
~ iQor, Inc formerly CBCL - Canadian Bonded Credit Limited - Now Iqor Collection Agency seems to be a subsidiary company of IRMC, IntelliRisk Management Company
~ IRMC "is a premier provider of customer management solutions specializing in collections, accounts receivable management, and customer retention services" according to their website at www.irmc.com
~ IRMC appears to be based in New York, with offices throughout the USA and also in the UK, Canada, India and the Phillipines.
~ A little bit of site browsing delivered to me this tasty tidbit of information:
Victor Sawision, Senior Vice President
iQor, Inc formerly CBCL - Canadian Bonded Credit Limited - Now Iqor Collection Agency
1210 Sheppard Avenue E, Suite 700
Toronto, Ontario M2K 3C4
Canada
(You can find info on some of the other offices at the website too)
I don't know why they are calling me just yet, as I can't get through to speak with a real person. My wife and I have been working really hard at clearing up all of our existing debt and with the exception of a couple of credit cards and a small personal loan from a relative we're almost debt-free, so I can't imagine why I'm getting these phone calls.
Anyway, just wanted to offer up the info I had found for those of you who needed it.
Cheers!
