That is actually sound advice: not only does "pay per usage" mean no contract (thus no cancellation fees), but you are sure never to pay for more than you actually use! And unless you use it -alot-, it is often cheaper.

Here is how I resolved my problem with cell phone companies .I went with pay as you go and eliminated the contracts. I might pay an extra five or ten dollars a month but I have no headaches. In my area virgin mobile has the best deals and the same coverage as the others. If you sign up online with virgin they will give you a min. of $30.00 credit towards your minutes the first month.

I have a false Iqor collection on my record too. For Rogers which Rogers claims to have informed Iqor is not valid.

So many people have the Rogers Iqor problems. Something is going on that can lead to only one thing - resolution.

It caused me a problem with my bank which was then dismissed as the woman at my bank was going thru the same thing.

If you have a file or account number I can verify if indeed the account was settled, or if the faxed documents are merely being ignored... and if they are I will try to get them sent to Virgin for authentification. :)

I had a cell phone with Virgin Mobile and ended up cancelling with them because they wouldn't give me a phone upgrade. I ended up going with Telus. I was making payments to my Virgin account and then received an e-mail from Virgin stating that my account was at a 0$ balance. That was in January of 2010.

I have been getting letters and calls from iqor saying that I owe them close to $400.00, which is the FULL Virgin Bill. I let the guy that called know that I made payments and had an e-mail from Virgin saying that my balance was at $0 in January. He told me that I was LYING and I owed ALL of the money. Lucky for me I saved the e-mail AND had made online payments through my bank account, which shows that I DID actually in fact make the payments. I faxed over all the information I had, and he stopped calling me.

That was about a month ago, and now I am having some girl that works for Iqor call me. 2 weeks ago a girl called me and right away I was snappy, and she apologized and told me that my account was settled. I have been waiting for some letter or anything saying that it was dealt with. The past week or 2 I have been getting 1-877 calls to my house at like 7 in the morning.. I have been ignoring them, and this morning finally answered. The girl on the phone was from Iqor. Saying that I owed close to $400. I clearly had an attitude with her, and informed her that I made payments and faxed in ALL my information, and also told her that 2 weeks ago a girl told me it was settled. She got lippy on the phone and said she would talk to her supervisor. I told her that I want her supervisor to call me. Then she hung up on me.
I have been getting HARASSED for months on end for something I have paid.. This company is RIDICULOUS and should get their facts straight before harassing people. NOW.. I will be getting a hold of someone at this ridiculous company and I will be getting a hold of someone at Virgin Mobile. This has been affecting my credit for 8 months.
