hmmmm... well, the man who called me and said "my name is barry (i think?) gassey and i'm a lawyer for tcr" must've misspoke then. i hope he calls back and i catch his name this time so i can do some more digging.

The call you got is more then likely a bill collector from their legal department (yes TCR has one in house) leaving you with the impression he is closer to a lawyer then a bill collector. Eli doesn't call to collect debt as far as we are aware.

just wondering if anyone knows who the current total credit recovery lawyer is. i received a call from someone who blatantly called himself a lawyer. when i called back, i asked for the in-house lawyer. the receptionist thought i had said "lawry" so i politely corrected her, saying i received a call from an actual lawyer that must work in the cubicle around the corner or something. she caught my sarcasm and said they have a legal department. i asked to be transferred to it then, because if i was connected to THAT department, SOMEONE there would be able to find me a legitimate lawyer. she then hung up on me.
