Consider the following hypothetical situation.

Let's say you worked for a collection agency. They agreed to pay you 1 gold ounce per week for your labor.

One day, your boss fires you for unprofessional behaviour. You've gone into debt for luxuries like food and rent. You're out of work and a different collection agency is phoning you every day.

The collection agency starts calling your family demanding the money they owe you.

Instead of paying a debt they don't owe, your family whines and bitches about the collection agency being "rude" or "abusive". The collection agency comes to a website like this and finds out the reason they don't get paid is because of unprofessional people that actually got the people too angry to pay the debt now... So they fire the unprofessional losers they had hired...

Now the problem is, a collection agency is no different than a person. They buy debts they don't need, in the hopes that they can pay them back. Wouldn't you think the company was a loser company?

Wouldn't you think it's ridiculous that they can even dream of going after the unemployed and ill, and sick in the hopes of scaring them into paying a debt they might have been able to pay had the economy or their health, or their job, not gone sour...
No, they bought that item in the hopes they would pay it off.

So why is it different when you people who bought the debt for pennies on the dollar try to take advantage of other people's situations... Why are YOU the victim...?
You too, chose to take on a debt with no guarantee it would be paid, but you did it willingly, knowing it might not be paid, but thinking that you can threaten and manuipulate people into paying it.... I believe the legal term for using threats to collect a debt is extortion....

ONLY GO AFTER LEGAL BILLS. DON"T LIE AND THREATEN. MAKE SURE THE DEBT IS REALLY OWED - BE HONEST. Don't be a lemon.

Mr. Lemon,

In my opinion I think you go and suck on a lemon. The last people I would take advice from are bill collectors that enjoy insulting and profiting from peoples financial, social and medical hardships.

Mr. Lemon,

Granted there are many debtors that are looking for ways to get out of paying the money they owe. However, there are unscrupulous collection agents that also circumvent the law, in order to collect on those debts. Hence, two wrongs don't make a right.

I note you use the derogatory term of 'losers' when referring to debtors that don't pay their debts. Do you think that denotes professionalism on the part of the collection industry?

question for debtors.

Consider the following hypothetical situation.

Let's say you worked for a company. They agreed to pay you 1 gold ounce per week for your labor.

Several months go by, and they have not paid. You quit and send the company to a collection agency.

The collection agency starts calling your employer demanding the money they owe you.

Instead of paying it, the company whines and bitches about the collection agency being "rude" or "abusive". The company comes to a website like this to figure out how to manipulate the system into avoid paying you. Things like "oh, don't acknowledge the debt for x years so the SOL kicks in" and such.

Wouldn't you think the company was a loser company? Wouldn't you think it's ridiculous that they do anything BUT pay what they owe?

So why is it different when you losers, with your consumer debt, do the same? Why are you the victim, rather than those to whom you owe money?

PAY YOUR BILLS -- SPEND LESS THAN YOU EARN -- SAVE YOUR MONEY. Don't be a loser.
