Assume three facts:

1) The province of Ontario is essentially broke.
2) The city of Toronto is even worse off.
3) The Ministry Of Anti-Social Services hired most of its supervisory-level employees during the tenure of the
(sadly NOT "late") Mike Harris! Their role is NOT to provide any sort of "services"...but to reduce their budget to the bare minimum.

As a result, the dubiously-legal actions of iQor, Inc formerly CBCL - Canadian Bonded Credit Limited - Now Iqor Collection Agency are wholeheartedly endorsed by the governments involved...probably as well as the editorial staff of "Der Sun!"

One suddenly understands more clearly why Marx, Lenin, et all called for "Revolution"...

Did you write a letter to the ombudsman?

They've been calling my house --my unlisted, unpublished number) for a couple of weeks, looking for someone else. (This is a new phone number, so presumably they're looking for someone who used to have this number).
I wait on hold to talk to someone and never get through. Then I call back and never get through. It's ridiculous. So I Googled it and found a long distance number and of course got through to the ombudsman's line and left a message.
Will it stop now, just because this person doesn't exist at this phone number? Doubt it.

iQor Collection agency - CBCL

These arses have been auto-calling my home for the past year, or so. Like everyone's experience---all of the calls either come from a # no longer in service, or a voice recording is all you get---etc. When i first starting getting these calls, i attempted to call to find out what it's about. The lady on the other end wanted to 'verify' my identity by asking my address and phone number and then demanded my SIN#. When i refused to provide that, she refused to continue the discussion and said until i provide them this #, the auto calls will continue. What a bunch of low-lifes! In case you are wondering I have a feeling i know what this is about. In the early 90s, not doing so well financially (single-parenthood, et al) i was on a program with Social Services where i worked contract in various places, reported my income and they made up the difference in what amounted to about $2/month for the last 12 months that i remember. Well to my shock, along comes a notice saying Social Services 'overpaid' me!!!! $5000.00!!! and I must repay this!! Since then i have been asking for an accounting of how they calculated this and have never rec'vd it!! ANd now this ends up in the hands of even lower-lifes: iQor, Inc formerly CBCL - Canadian Bonded Credit Limited - Now Iqor Collection Agency . In 1999 My mistake was to a agree to make monthly payments to SocServ's but stopped in 1998 due to lack of an accounting. Now iQor, Inc formerly CBCL - Canadian Bonded Credit Limited - Now Iqor Collection Agency are like a dog-on-a-bone and can't give it up. iQor, Inc formerly CBCL - Canadian Bonded Credit Limited - Now Iqor Collection Agency call 2x a day, with their recorded drone---and any attempts to call them to resovle go nowhere. Does anyone know how i can get rid of these parasites? PS. The $5000.00 tab will remain unpaid as long as their asking me for it.
