hi..

travel rewards credit card are for individuals who do have enough money in their personal accounts to pay off their bills every month..

these type of card holders are called convenient users. they just used the card then collect some points and afterwards pay off what is due for them every month..

this credit card is not suitable for individual who uses the credits of the card and just pays off the minimum amount or what the card holder can afford to pay each month. the card user will be in big trouble as interest charges will pile up every time the billing statement is received.

same thing here with these travel rewards as my post in the cashback thread the credit card companies want to trap you into using their cards

you think you're getting all of these great travel rewards benefits when in fact the credit card company is setting you up for a fall. When you make your payments in full the credit card companies call you a deadbeat! This means that they want everybody to pay interest on a credit card. So while they're offering travel rewards, you shouldn't be using these kind cards at all unless you got money in the bank and you're pretty certain that you can make your monthly payments.

People need to wake up and understand what credit card companies are really all about. They're in business to make interest and to collect as much money from you as possible
Why do people need credit cards?

water_ski,
I'm glad you pay the balance off every month. Especially the card having a limit of $50,000. That could get you in a lot of trouble. What do you mean by sea miles? Do you mean travel on a cruise ship? I've not heard that term before?!

I like that sea-miles for cruise ships... I wonder if there are cards specifically for cruise ships.. I know that Capital One's travel cards allow for any type of travel..

Good list... thanks RichelleM

That’s great to hear water_ski! Next to miles for airline flights, the most-important basis of miles for most people is the credit card. And for excellent explanation, credit cards, with a mileage-earning component, provide users like you the means to earn miles together for the flight, the car rental or hotel accommodation plus for the dollar rate of the charged purchased, as well as earn miles for credit card purchases which will not otherwise drop in the mileage cover.
Let me just give you further details about the credit cards that make you earn travel rewards. While there are loads of cards which offer miles- or points-for-purchases, the first choice facing consumers wrap up to cards in the these categories: Bank-Issued Credit Cards with a Travel Awards Program, Charge Cards, Airline- and Hotel-Affiliated Credit Cards and Debit Cards.
Furthermore, the following travel credit cards propose hotel or airline rewards. You are capable of earning rewards points when you spend and the rewards points can be converted for free nights at participating hotels or airline discounts. So, if you want to travel sea-miles soon, a travel credit card such as the following could help you save more money.
Capital One® VentureSM Rewards Credit Card
Capital One® VentureOneSM Rewards Credit Card
Chase Sapphire Preferred Card
Capital One® Orbitz® Visa® Platinum
American Express® Premier Rewards Gold Card
Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card

earned a travel award

Postby water_ski » Mon May 03, 2010 11:42:59 PM

I am 40 years old almost the same age with my husband who works as an assistant engineer in a local firm.Due to multiprojects acquired by the firm, sometimes he is task to oversee various projects across the country and even abroad. While i am left here attending to my 2 daughters on their way fare, I established a small buy & sell business.Health care is a common problem.Sometimes it ends up in excessive demand of cash if the medicare is unavailable.Budgetary constrain led me to look nowhere especially if my husband is away and cannot immediately send money.

An advertisement of a credit card with various privileged caught my attention.I and my husband with proper evaluation decided to apply and acquire one.My husband holds the principal while me having the supplementary. We are using a visa card and have a ceiling credit limit of 50,000.It really help us during emergency especially if my husband is out of town.

Afterwards with our constant use of our credit card we found out that it can really assist us in our basic needs. We purchase appliances and even buy a car out of it.With our hardworks and prompt settlements with new bills we gained a 50,000 points as stipulated by the credit card company and was awarded a travel award package.

We understand the use of credit card when needed but we religiously settle our accounts on due date to avoid penalty. We are using the credit card for 5 years now and aiming for a sea-miles soon.
