I saw that... that's bad news... Four in Ten are retiring with debt.. that's just wrong.. they'll be working until they die.
IMO... this is a generational thing... people will keep doing it until they learn the hard way... I agree that people need to pay off their debts.. quit living beyond their means.
One of the things that keeps people in debt is that they keep up grading their housing. I heard a statistic that families move on average every five years. If they would keep to their original house they would have it paid off and they wouldn't incur larger mortgages every five years.
That is one of the key problems. People moving every five years is what's causing alot of the housing inflation... needing a bigger house.. that's just wrong.
