It's not a "debt card", it's called a DEBIT card (linked to your bank account directly with a bank or credit union, etc.) (don't forget the "I" in debit)
Although, ironically, I would consider a credit card a DEBT card, hehehe.
As a matter of course, you should be able to get a credit on your debit card instantly at Boston Pizza or East Side Mario's, but some may hold a policy of 7-10 days for refunds.
Additionally, you have recourse rights under the Canadian Payments Association for usage of debit cards and preauthorized payments from your bank account, if these were improper. Contact your issuing bank for any questions.
