grey area with the credit union I talked to the credit union where I deal told me it up to Boston Pizza re over charge policy so far no return call from the mangement

It's not a "debt card", it's called a DEBIT card (linked to your bank account directly with a bank or credit union, etc.) (don't forget the "I" in debit)

Although, ironically, I would consider a credit card a DEBT card, hehehe.

As a matter of course, you should be able to get a credit on your debit card instantly at Boston Pizza or East Side Mario's, but some may hold a policy of 7-10 days for refunds.

Additionally, you have recourse rights under the Canadian Payments Association for usage of debit cards and preauthorized payments from your bank account, if these were improper. Contact your issuing bank for any questions.

I used a debt Card not a credit card there was an over charge on my bill So I needed a refund of 15,.87 Told I have to wait 7 to 10 days to have the money I was over charged put back in my account My question is Debt is like cash any other time I have been given either cash or money refunded right into my bank account So why at this place do I have to wait 7 to 10 days

I have had that happen a couple of times. All they did was give me a credit on my debit card right then and there no waiting.

Are you trying to tell us you used a debit card instead of a credit card? Or did you pay from say a savings account instead of a checking account? My apologies, but given your post, I don't understand what sort of mistake you made.

Okay any one of you people had this happen with a debt card I was at a very popular restaurant last night I don't think I should say the name ordered pasta and pizza bill comes it is paid with a debt card after I get out side in the bright light notice an error Stupid me didn't catch it at the time of paying bill caught it last 3 mins later go back point out error was told by manager I need to wait 7 to 10 days for the transaction to be credited to my chequing account Question is I can under stand a credit card but isn't debt same as cash I got a slip with a phone number and another number on it if I don't get see the money in my account I am to call and follow up with them I find that totally stupid and I want my money back The general manager is suppose to call me today I only had the supervisor dealing with me is this legal
