Do these things fall of the report as of the first of the month these mature to 6 years eg Feb1 2011 OR will it show until feb 28 2011 and fall off as of March 1 2011. thank you kindly...

ps-the reason i am so concerned is i was rejected for a mortgage because of this item!

Thank you for all your advice. Going back to my original problem, if the statute of limitations expired in 2007, then can i not get the credit reporting agencies to remove it and not wait until Feb 2011?

Tran’s union keeps good items for twenty years and removes the bad items after six years, but if you request to have the good items that are over six years and the accounts are closed they will remove them.

do not assume that things will fall off your report in 6 years, especially with Transunion. I pulled my Transunion report and had history on it going back to 1994 (it wasn't bad, mind you, but still!).

The last payment date of Feb/05 in your equifax report is what you go by. This item will remain in your credit file till Feb/11.The delinquency dates are found in the tran union reports.

I have been going online to get my reports. I have decided to request a free printed one both from T.U and Equifax- i like to go online to get my scores.

Online TransUnion, no delinquency date or last payment date, only the Opened date and the Balance date.Equifax, online printout, shows the last payment date as Feb 05, plus the other 2 dates: Balance and Opened. I don't think there is a delinquency date on Equifax.

The date of reporting is not the same as the date of last activity or last payment. In the public records of equifax there should be a date of last payment if there is not you should fill out their dispute form. In the collection section of Trans union there should be first date of delinquency. Are you getting your credit reports by mail or online?

It was Transunion and it is under Collections. Since I posted this morning, I pulled an updated report today and they have updated yet again on Apr 1 2010 and they have a new balance of $563! (it was $545)
I am finding this is getting wierder now...

(ps: I found an equifax report I pulled last year and they are reporting this to equifax the same way)
