I think we need the Full Monty (Loree) to remove the pests off this site.

Hello,

I had received both credit history files from Equifax and TransUnion, and, both my files show "no information reported". However, I do have something to worry about. Under the credit inquiries of the TransUnion files, it shows Contact Resources dated Sept 10, 2009. I do know that after doing extensive readings that this creates a 'red flag' for potential lenders.

Does this mean that they have me permanently flagged for any creditor, or, should I get in contact with them to notify them that my legal time periods had expired according to provincial legislation?

Your continued assistance is appreciated in regards to this issue.

Greetings,

I had received both my TransUnion and Equifax Canada credit files recently showing no listings under credit history and transactions. All other areas are also cleared.

What I would like to know, since my score is low, what are your suggestions in getting back on my feet since my bad fall on credit cards originally. I now have a good understanding in regards to this and would like to find some way to get myself re-established.

I look forward to reading your opinions in regards to this matter.

I have another question for anyone, under my employment listing, I am listed as unemployed/Disability pension.

How does this listing affect my overall credibility and status to potential lenders who may approach me with credit offers?

I had checked the listings for credit inquiries and found 9 of them listed there dating back to 2001. As for the Contact Resource Ser. listing, it is showing up in the 'soft hits' section dated 12-06-2012. I know those ones don't show up to lenders in any way, from what I had heard.

Should I send in a request to update information form and have Equifax remove any outdated listings on my file?

I appreciate your time spent helping me understand my credit history file and just to let you know this should be my last posting.

Some more information requested on this topic. What I would like to know more of is in regards to credit inquiries that I had made according to my file. There are 3 listed for 2012, 2011, and, 2010. How does this have bearing against my total credit score. I do know that it drops my score in a big way. How does this work against me? Is there a time period applied to these as well?
Thanks for helping me understand this.

Just as a follow up to this first posting, you mentioned that I should get another copy of my credit file pulled, however, if I am only allowed one free copy per year, would the timeline go from 27-12-2012 -->27-12-2013. Therefore, I think I would be able to get another free copy in January 2014, if I am not mistaken??
Please correct me if I am wrong about this matter...

Thanks for all the previous information from your response, it has really given me solid understanding about my files now.

Personal Credit File Information

Postby tripped_up » Sun May 05, 2013 10:50:59 PM

Can someone please take a moment to explain the following?

I had a nasty fall with my CC's and I had received my updated Credit file from Equifax Canada dated 12/27/2012. The following is currently listed:

Credit Score: 466 - Poor

Chase Sears - Status: Bad debt, collection account, or, unable to locate
Date of Last Activity: 2007-03
Date Reported: 2012-12
comments: Written off

Collections Accounts - Contact Resource Ser. - Canadian Tire MasterCard
Date Assigned: 2007-12
Date of Last Payment: 2007-02
Date Verified - none
Comments - none

Credit Inquiries to the File

2012-12-27 Equifax Personal SOL (800) 671-3250
2012-12-06 Contact Resource Ser. (888) 771-5803

I hope that you can help me understand this information a little bit more as I am kind of new to this field of personal information.
