Forget it....the check is from 2002 the debt is too old to collect now.Even if they threatened to charge her for fraud the statute of limitations has run out on that criminal charge too.
Tell her just hang up not to talk to them answer no letters unless they are from the courts.

Since you people were very helpful to me I have a question a friend of mine has Cindy got a call today from a collection company they have a NSF cheque cindy wrote in 2002 to safe way for 120 She cant find any proof she paid it She is pretty sure she did cause the bank cant go back that far in there records so should she pay it or ignore it what do u people think
