I would get one done by mail for free and you should receive it in a few weeks. I find the reports by mail to be more detailed. You will need to photocopy two pieces of id and fill out the short form and fax it to them.

In the Collection Section, there is an "opened date" and then a "balance date" which one is a month apart and the other one has the balance date as 2 years after the opened date

I ordered this one online through their website. It's just listed on the Account History Section. The problem is I'm not sure which accounts were sent to which collection agencies either as the balances don't match in the account history with the section where it lists :

Collection Accounts: Delinquent accounts sent for recovery

There is 2 Collection Agencies listed there so I know at least 2 of the 5 accounts were sent to collections. Is it possible I only have to pay these two balances and not the other 3 accounts were weren't sent to an actual collection agency?

If it’s in the collection section then there should be a First Date of Delinquency.

Are you getting your credit report by mail, in person or online? Is this item in the accounts or collection section of your report? The reported date is not the date of last activity. In my credit report by mail they call it Last Payment Date.

Does Transunion have to show last date of activity on report?

Postby IslanderGirl26 » Wed Mar 24, 2010 11:20:53 AM

Hey,

I recently rec'd my credit report and there is some bad debt issues I had a few years ago. I wanted to assess whether or not I should pay them or leave them a bit longer and have them purged from the account after 6 years. From my understanding, they are to be purged on PEI after 6 years from the last date of activity. However, when I look at these records, I don't see a last date of activity. For example, once looks like this:

Condition: [Derogatory]
Balance: $XXXX High Balance: $XXXX
Type: Revolving account
status:Bad debt/collection/skip
Payment: $0 Monthly (due every month) Limit:
Opened: 03/22/2005
Reported: 12/06/2009
Responsibility: Individual
account
Past Due: $XXXX
Remarks: Bad Debt Write Off
Account Cancelled by Credit Grantor

However, I stopped paying anything on this account around December 2006. It would appear Transunion is reporting something every single month on the account when there has been no actually payment or inquries with this debt. How will I know for sure when my 6 years is up for it to be removed if I choose not to pay if they update it every month? A few of my accounts are like this..and a few do list a previous year as last reported ie: 01-2007

Does last Reported mean last date of activity? Can I call and have them prove to me the last date of activity without extending any "clocks".?
