One more thing...if and when I can get a car, what is the best way to do so, or rather, least painful, with past credit barriers

No one knows how stupid I am better than me! I have no ability to comprehend these issues, and even if I could, I'm just not mean. You are so right, I wish I had some help in life making these types of decisions; obviously I have no ability to do so. Many thanks

Please don't take this the wrong way but there are a few things here you did very wrong when it comes to the world of credit and money.

1) expecting to be treated "special" - creditors don't care, every loan is designed to make them profit. Its just about money.
2) made late payments - days or hours its still late in a creditors book
3) put every cent you owned down on a depreciating asset? Why use your life savings for a car of all things?

I am sorry about your health issues but maybe for the time being forget about he car and your credit history. Consider public transit or taxi's until your financial situation gets better and you can afford the cost of keeping a car.

UPDATE:CAR REPOSESSED BROWN BROTHERS FORD TERRORIZING ME REGULARLY

Postby daisybelle » Mon Apr 30, 2012 03:21:40 PM

UPDATE TO AN EARLIER POST...

MAY 1-2012..4 years ago, I posted a very angry letter here, about Mr. Mark Korst of Brown Brothers Ford in Vancouver, BC. It was very early in a 4 year lease on my vehicle, and unfortunately I ran into some health and financial problems, which caused me to make a couple of payments late...that resulted in my vehicle being repossessed.

I am sorry that I took out my anger on Mr. Korst, and foolishly assumed that based on my health etc, he would have or should have accommodated me in any way. I undestand this is a business, I understand that payments need to be received on or before the due dates, and even one day late, is late enough to have the vehicle taken.,,,he did his job, I fell short on mine.

I hope Mr. Korst will accept my appology.

I've had this car for the full 4 year term, and my health and financial situation has improved and I've made all of my payments in a very timely manner, mostly early in fact, I hope that I've proven to Mark that I have learned a lesson, and that he forgives me for my original perceptions of him.
