did you get paperwork from them stating what your debt is and that once you pay that amount the debt is cleared?

Do not under no circumstances give them your banking info over the phone... I just went threw that crap and took 5 days to get my money back with alot of hassle!! They can also change the agreed amount if they so choose. As theres nothing in writing from you stating how much they can take...their all liars and cons!!

I agree with Average_Joe.

Get it in writing and do not allow them to gain your banking information. If you are making a single payment then just get a money order / draft and if you are paying by installments and don't wish to be hit with the service fee for getting a money order every time open a new bank account at a different financial institution and use that account to make payments.

If you going to settle a debt with anyone you should get a settlement agreement in writing before you hand over your money.

a collector I understand, but this is a law firm. It is unreasonable to ask for something in writing from them?

I strong advise against giving any collection agency any personal information other then what they know already and no bank information or void cheque.

Natale Law Offices

Postby Sneider8779 » Thu Feb 11, 2010 12:15:01 PM

I have been contacted by Natale Law Offices. While I agree with the debt, I am not confident about providing the law office with my bank account for pre-authorized payments from my bank account.
When I asked who to send the void cheque to, I was told to provide the information to her over the phone.

Does anyone have comments on this? I agree with the debt, but not feeling too confident dealing with this law firm (there are too many bad things about them on the internet)
