Yes, too much work, I gather.

The thing is, it would be in their best interest given that they are p*ssing away the Statute of Limitations.

I wouldn't hold your breath. The collection agencies never like to produce the paperwork unless you report them.

*UPDATE*

The C/A was given 30 days to provide me with proof of this debt. They have two days to provide it to me. I have not received calls, letters, notices, nothing....

Hi Joe, yes I'm replying in the private message area and press the send button, but then it disappears. It's twice now that this has happened but I've communicated privately with other members here with no problems.

Are you replying to me in the private message area? I noticed you read the messages but it would show if you replied and its not.

I dunno, I have to get to my credit report at home.

That's it, I'm sending the PIPEDA letter, am formally disputing with the reporting agencies, and hiring a lawyer. I am pissed off now and someone's going to pay.

PS Joe, are you getting my emails? I send them but they don't show up in my account at all as being sent to you.

I would defiantly send the pipeda letter out because you are really getting screwed. If they put a date like that in your credit file and if you actually owe this debt, the sol was ready to expire and by doing this it will keep it in your file for another six years.

Are you sure that is the date because people get the reported date mixed up with the date of last activity?

In your credit file there is a date of last activity or date of last payment, what does it say.
