in most cases collection agencies want the settlement in 1 payment. did u receive a letter outlining 4 payments or did you receive a letter stating that you had 60 days and you made the 4 payments within that timeframe.

Its quite alright to contact Global but they will only give you a release letter if you made the payments within the timeframe that they offered.

Seems like they made a clear offer and you accepted it, and i am assuming you met the terms as outlined.

So whats wrong with calling the agency (and/or escalating to management) and asking them whats up?

This is the wording of their offer:
"This letter shall serve to confirm that Global Credit is the duly authorized agent acting on behalf of TDCT. We are prepared to accept the sum of xxx as final settlement of this account. (...)

If the terms of this settlement are met your Credit Bureau will be updated accordingly. A letter of release will be provided."

What sort of working is listed in the setlement terms from Global? Something along the lines of "These 4 payments of $x.yy represent a Full and Final settlement of TD account xxxxxx ....." or does it state that your 35% settlement is for your balance with Global Collections?

Before doing anything, have a solid grasp on what exactly that contract stated.

I would contact Td because global collections is a shady collection agency.

I've settled my TD Visa account with Global with four payments (money orders by registered mail) @35% of total. My last payment was in December. Today I received a letter from Collect Com Credit demanding the payment on behalf of TD for the remainder. I have the settlement offer from Global in writing.

Should I respond to the letter disputing the debt? Or should I try to contact TD Bank to sort it out?
