Try faxing them a Cease and Desist letter and keep the confirmation letter. That's what I did a few years ago and it worked fine for me. Here's my template from the time - : https://www.dropbox.com/s/xxlns6omnkgabe0/Canada%20-%20Cease%20and%20Desist%20template%20-%20Aug%202nd%2C%202010.doc

Should that fail, you can always try treating them like 976 trash when they call. I've done that a few times, too, and it's good for kicks. They'll remove your # pretty quick.

when do these phone calls stop, now they are saying they are TCR and calling about a Telus cellphone that I never had. I don't own a cellphone and they keep calling any time from 8am to 9pm est. Now the calls are up to 6 -8 times a day, every day. You can only tell them so many times that I don't have cell phone.

I ran the first # though at 800notes.com and it would appear that this is being reported as Bell Canada collections. Something to consider.. Cheers~!

they call from varies #, 866-206-8371, 855-787-3630 and even from "private number". So now when they call, I don't say anything but give dead air. They immediately hang up.

Curious, is the # calling 855-282-5661? If so, they've been calling me over the last few weeks, too. After I answer, they immediately hang up. So, today I decided to call back, and was welcomed with a "what's your # number?" - My response was - This can't be a high-end firm if you don't have caller ID. To that, she immediately hung up. So, guessing this is debt related to something outdated... I really wish they'd call and stay on the line. It's fun to torment them and treat them like trash.

These people call me 4 -5 times a day every day including weekends. The phone calls starts at 8am and goes on until about 9pm. When I answer the phone and say hello, there is silence (dead air) on their end and then they hang up after 15 - 20 seconds. Other times they call, they say "This is Total Credit Recovery calling for (dead air) and then they hang up. I live in Ontario and don't know what do to anymore. I'm almost afraid to answer my phone.

Harassment by All Canada Collect

Postby fed up » Wed Apr 05, 2006 12:00:00 AM

These people are violating every law - they have an automatic dialer that calls me at 7 am and at 10 pm - if I answer the phone and the recording comes on, it has my telephone line seized and I can not hang up. I thought those tactics were against the law?

I told them once when there was a real person on the other end of the line that I had paid the 407 bill but they continue to harass me.

I am fed up.
