Millie P,

Here is the card listed below I applied for. I am going to make a small purchase every month and pay it off when the bill comes in. I don't like the 19.8% or the $59.00 annual fee, but at this point I am glad there was no security deposit. In time like you stated they will bump me up to a better card so they can keep me as a customer.

Cheers

Thanks. I am not aware of any site that will give you that kind of information.

Congrats.

Capital One cards are actually quite good. After you have been with them for some time you can likely switch to one of their reward cards or possibly even the card with the really low interest rate.

Do you -- or anyone else -- know of any site that lists the credit score ranges required to qualify for various cards? I know they keep that as secret as possible but people are always reverse engineering these things.

Capital One MasterCard Approved And No Security Deposit

Postby average_joe » Sun Jan 24, 2010 01:46:21 PM

After settling all my debts in November/2009, I decided to apply for a capital one credit card. I was expecting to receive a letter stating I needed a $300.00 security deposit. When I received the letter to my amaze it was an approval without a security deposit.
