I saw a lady in the facebook group for Canadian Tire money..
Here is the link if anybody is interested in joining the facebook group for Canadian Tire Money

she said:
So far I've purchased completely with CTM:
-A CD deck -$225
-A 200 watt amp $216
-A blower motor for my car $125
-Replacement brake pads $45

Total spent in CTM: $611

I used to be a cashier at Canadian Tire, and I had a guy come through my till and purchase a riding lawnmower completely with CTM. While it's funny when you're ...the person doing it, it's not funny when you're the cashier counting all of the CTM. I have the equivalent to carpal tunnel syndrome in my left thumb from counting CTM for almost two years.

That the money is concentrated doesn't change the liability. If 40,000 people each have a $0.50 CDN Tire bill or if one person has all of them it is the same liability.

I once got up to $4k in CDN Tire money really fast. I was joking that I wanted to launch a hostile takeover using their own currency (not actually possible) and my friends starts collecting it for me and it really snowballed. I left it at my parent's house when I went to university so no idea what they spent it on.

I'm actually surprised that CDN Tire money hasn't been revamped. The man on it is actually rather controversial. The reason it is a Scotsman is because the Scottish are apparently known for being cheap. If it was some other culture that was known for being cheap depicted on the notes there probably would have been protests about it being racist.

wow.... what do you do with $20,000 in Canadian Tire money?

Doesn't that create a huge liability for Canadian Tire...??

Canadian Tire money - what do you use yours for?

I always get a thrill when I spend Canadian Tire money from my Canadian Tire mastercard.

The other day I needed some hardware for the house, an exercise mat, and a new mug for my tea in the morning... the total came to $28 and I had $29 worth of Canadian Tire points.

I got all my purchase for free....

What do you buy with your Canadian Tire points?
What's the most Canadian Tire points you've ever saved up?
