If you notice the Americans want people to donate $10.00 to the American debt, I mean the Haiti Relief Fund. If I am going to donate money it should be up to me what I donate. In my opinion a lot of those donations are going to end up in America in the end.

Re: Non-profits.. banks seem to like to get behind these friendlier "non-profit" banners in the US and Canada to "do good"... the truth of the matter is they rarely provide any real value in their non-profit services and much of the hype is resources that could be better spent improving things at the banking level.

I believe Canadians are more private and Americans like to brag.

I've been searching for TD Visa in the news and noticed that most of their news comes from the U.S.!!

They're involved in alot of community events, non-profits etc..

The question I've got is... is TD Visa doing the same kind of events in Canada.? Are they helping out non-profits in Canada? And if they are, why isn't it publicized....

I think Americans are much better at promoting their non-profit giving activities than Canadians.. Canadians like to give privately and keep it private...

Or am I mistaken?
