At the end of the day a prenup looses its value over time and my understanding is the courts ignore its intent as the years go on.

Generally speaking the prenup needs to be updated and rewritten every few years to keep it current and relevant to the estate of each party.

Odd proposal eh... "I love you now sign here please". But, that’s just the way the world works now.

And it works for both sides too; I know lots of woman that have asked their man to sign a prenup to protect their estate. There was a really funny episode on the other day on two and a half men on it

Even if they have prenups in place? I'm sure Gene Simmons is lawyered up pretty well... in his book he's pretty staunch about not getting married, and NOT having the ex wife destroy his fortune...

I'm going to write more about his philosophy in the weeks to come.

Actually family law has changed and works differently now, Shannon Tweed would get a huge part of his estate regardless of being married or not, it’s because of the amount of time she was with him.

Either way, it's what works for him and seems to be an angle he uses in his pr/self promotion. I think I heard him quote that he prefers to be happily unmarried then unhappily married.

Gene Simmons is pretty focussed... to be honest, he's extremely sexist by today's standards... he would prefer not to get married because a divorce would cost him big time...

I found the book interesting otherwise

If your sole purpose in life is to make money, which is pretty lonely, then his book will be very entertaining.

I haven't read it yet, but it sounds awsome. Gene is extremely sharp at business and pr/self promotion.

His music rocks too.

Has anybody read this book or listened to the MP3s?
Gene Simmons is notorious for making money and self promotion.
I recently listened to this book on mp3 and found it interesting.

Gene comes from an austere Israeli (Jewish) backround, and is a self described penny pincher... He keeps the philosophy of "keeping CASH in my pocket". He hates everybody who tries to get money out of his pocket.

I"m curious to know if anybody else has read this book.
