Don't even bother to talk to them. These terriorts always try their luck to see if they can get anything out of these prehistoric debts. With a debt that old I won't even settle it with 1 cent. Just be financial responsible and never repeat the same mistake again. Goodluck.

I would ignore them because legally they can not do anything to you now. If you have the money someday and you want to settle the account for moral reasons, then offer them 5 or 10%.
