In both British Columbia and Alberta, the SOL cannot be reset with verbal confirmation. The acknowledgement of the debt must be done in written format. If you truly want to deal with the matter, contacting the agency will have no effect, aside from confirming to them that the address and phone number they have on file is right or wrong.
