Have a laugh and search "Iqor" on facebook and take a look at some of the employees... see if those same people seem so scary when you see their faces.

But watch yourself on facebook, I wrote an article about collectors using it here: Bill collectors using facebook

I also read a very similar blog post suggesting that skip tracers were also using facebook in a rather sneaky way to lure male debtors into calling in on their debts check this article out: http://consumerist.com/5240196/debt-collectors-using-cute-chicks-on-facebook-as-bait

nice.... please fax your request...

I wonder if Iqor has a facebook account, or twitter?

they should work on their social media appearance. :)

Hahaha, another toll free number. Excellent!!

I was more hoping for a direct line to an agent somebody might've dealt with in the recent past (such as an extension, or something similar).

Some great news though:

Sent an email to Complaintsforconsumers@iqor.com yesterday around the same time as making the original post to this thread, and I've already received a reply back from a Dianne C. Vazansky "Assistant Vice President, Global Compliance", asking for a current mailing address.

So, she's either going to mail me the settlement papers I requested, or she's sending hired goons to my house to break my knees. I'm hoping for the former, not the latter.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck.

If you arranged to settle the debt and paid on-line without first receiving the offer in writing and keeping a receipt for proof of payment then I am sorry to say you are out of luck.

You will need both of those things as evidence of the settlement to get collect com off your back. I know its going to be frustrating as hell because you already went through it once but IMO your best bet is to explain that to Collect Com Credit, and work out a new settlement on the residual owing, but as you have already experienced, do it right this time

Debt settlement is like changing your own oil; you can do it on your own if you have the tools, time, resources and know-how. If you don’t, then hire a debt settlement company to get it done right the first time and save yourself the headaches.

Magic phone number for Iqor Canada?

Postby arbydar » Wed Jun 17, 2009 01:10:26 PM

Does anybody know a direct number to an agent that works for Iqor by chance?

The only phone number I have on hand for them is 1-888-300-8475 and the wait time is atrocious! I called on Monday June 15th @3pm CST and waited on hold for 1 hour to speak to an agent and ended up hanging up at 4pm, thinking an old contact of mine :John Saso 416-753-6118 would work. Undoubtedly though, his number is no longer in service.

The most frustrating part of it all is this: I had two student loans from RBC that fell into their hands, and I settled out both my provincial and national loans with CBCL in 2007 and 2008. Problem is, I made both payments online, and didn't receive a settlement letter or account closure letter in the mail. So now, I have a new agency calling me, one I've never heard of before: CollectCom Credit Inc. trying to get a payment for one of my RBC student loans that's already closed. Infuriating!!
