thisguy,

I agree with you, but tmtmkhan is not stats bar yet. I think if he can settle his debt for 20%, he will do well. I think some people just want to settle their debts and put it behind them and not have the debt hanging over their head for years.

Cheers

CRS IS A SCAM.... You do not need to pay the full interest tell them you will only pay the principal and they have no choice to say yes.

it is not a settlement if you don't pay the interest it would be paid in full...Also if you are out of stat their is nothing they can do to you and it will be errased from your burreau in 6 years ....they only try to scare people . if it is out of stat they cant bring you to court....they will tell you they will send you a release form that it was paid in full and they will not send it only if you call everyday for months until you find a descent person that will help you... if you decide to pay keep your receipt for ever they may call you back in years from now and say you never paid it ....

I would state to them that all you can raise from your family is $2400.00(20%).The percentage is based on the $12,000.If you stick to your story you should be able to get the settlement because this is a great time of the month to be settling a debt. I would also state to them that you could have the funds to them by no later then Friday 29 2009.If they agree; make sure they fax out the agreement to you before you hand over your money. If they bought this debt from Canadian tire believe me they paid pennies on the dollar for it. I know of people that settled with this company for 20%, so I would stick to your offer.

I would offer the collection agency 20% and state to them that’s all you can borrow from your family. This is the best time of the month to settle debts, because the collection agencies and bill collectors want to meet or beat their quotas.

Did they say they sold or not? I believe they have because of my experience with them others I know. I would offer them 20% and tell that’s all your family is willing to help you with, and if they accept get the agreement in writing and faxed to you before you hand over your money.
