"Funny" thing is that at least Equifax is reporting it properly.

Is there anywhere when you can complain about this and make them stop ?

Transunion can change your report, obviously...
But what i've found is that the creditors keep reporting monthly.
So... if transunion wipes off a piece of credit, the creditor may report the item next month, and then it gets right back on your credit report.

You have to deal with the creditor.
The creditor is not really motivated to help you if you've declared bankruptcy. That's the problem in this situation.

You should make sure that the bankruptcy is listed properly.
Sometimes I've seen a bankruptcy listed as coming from Small claims court etc

the debt is still owing, technically even though you declared bankruptcy.

it's still owing, but not collectable.

Sometimes the creditors keep reporting the item.. and it's hard to stop them.

I ran into this before with a fellow. His credit score kept going down even though he was discharged from bankruptcy.

Here is the timeline :

2004 Last payment made in the disputed accounts.
2004 started Proposal ,
2007 Proposal failed and automatically followed by Bankruptcy
2008 Discharged from Bankruptcy

TransUnion shows last activity date same like Banryptcy date and 45 missed payments..
Is there any way to make them put last activity date the date of Proposal whic is teh date all legal action has started ?

Transunion Credit report dispute saga

Postby Desperado » Mon May 04, 2009 11:48:05 AM

I have bought the very informative book Monty Loree and followed the dispute recommendation he gives in his book.
Problem is that TransUnion doesn't care what the law says and their Indian employee have no clue where Ontario in on the map.

My hurdle now is to convince TransUnion that an account included in Proposal five years ago and then in Bankruptcy should not keep reporting late payments and should have the balance blanked out because it was in bankruptcy.

They are keep telling me that they don't change the report and that is my duty to call the bank and ask them nicelly to put the correct dates.

I don't know what to do and some advice would be great.

TIA
