I totally agree. Insurance companies are still businesses, they are up for profit and your money. And the same time, they can be beneficial to you and your family when used the right way.

In terms of health, full disclosure of information must be done to make sure that the insurance company is also provided with real and truthful information.

I would recommend that you disclose the health issues to the insurance rep before you take out any life insurance... because the heath issues may invalidate the policy.

do you have illnesses?
If so.. you need to read the fine print on the policy.

Sometimes the insurance company will do a "medical" after you pass away... that means that if you died from something they didn't allow, you wouldn't get your money. If forget the term for this.

Insurance companies never do things with a huge risk attached.

They've borrowed $85 billion from the U.S. goverment to keep operating.
They're not the healthiest insurance company around.

I think it's pretty ridiculous that people are complaining about AIG execs getting retention bonuses.. especially if they were under contract to do so.

The U.S. federal government must have known about these bonuses prior to bailing out the company.

I don't think it's right that President Obama ask to have these bonuses taken away. They were agreed to. It's part of the bailout expenses.

I wouldn't like the federal government interfering with my business. I would think that's how communism begins... and.. isn't that what we're supposed to be against?

FOR NEXT TIME: I think we're seeing the excesses of Wall Street in a glaring light. Gluttonous wall street is showing their true colors.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Bailed-out insurer American International Group gave 73 of its employees bonuses of more than $1 million each, according to a letter that New York state Attorney General Andrew Cuomo sent Congress on Tuesday.
