I think it's pretty ridiculous that people are complaining about AIG execs getting retention bonuses.. especially if they were under contract to do so.
The U.S. federal government must have known about these bonuses prior to bailing out the company.
I don't think it's right that President Obama ask to have these bonuses taken away. They were agreed to. It's part of the bailout expenses.
I wouldn't like the federal government interfering with my business. I would think that's how communism begins... and.. isn't that what we're supposed to be against?

AIG bonuses: 73 top $1 million
NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Bailed-out insurer American International Group gave 73 of its employees bonuses of more than $1 million each, according to a letter that New York state Attorney General Andrew Cuomo sent Congress on Tuesday.
In a letter to House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank, D-Mass., Cuomo said that the $160 million that AIG issued this year to its Financial Products employees included one bonus that was as high as $6.4 million.
