Lol. I had a debt with aro and I went over their head to get the 10% settlement from the creditor. The bill collector was not impressed when he found out I was approved. The creditor was National Bank MasterCard.

I had a debt with Aro in the past and they are very unprofessional, rude and a bunch of jerks. I would call the place that you had the student loan with and make a complaint with them. The laws must change on how collection agencies are treating people.

ARO Collections

Postby Emmett1885 » Tue Mar 17, 2009 06:48:31 AM

Good day,

I was just wondering if any one else has had difficulty with ARO collections. I have a student loan with them that is nearly paid off, and when I called to get a balance, payments made and interest charged I was met with nothing but a ridiculous claim that they cannot provide that information. Instead I reveived a letter one week later (the letter was dated the very same day I had called asking for the information) saying that I had not responded to thier previous requests for payment.

I have called my MP to see who governs the actions of collection agencies in Ontario, but thus far have no info yet. I find it pretty hard to believe that in this technological world we live in where I bank online, seek work online and check things like my income tax etc online, that a silly little collections agency can not give me the info I am looking for.

Any suggestions / information would be appreciated.
