What city/town/province are you in?
What is the value of the mobile home if you were to sell it?

Let me know

I will look into it

Everyone says there should be someone out there to help us, but who is what I am asking. I have applied at a few and as you may know every credit application of any kind is also reported on your credit record and continues to make things harder.

If you have title to the property then its yours, not sure how you got it but if you are the registered owner its yours.

If the land that the mobile home is on leased land you should be able to get something done. Rules vary from province to province and mobile homes are not the easiest thing to get financed but they can be done.

Hitting a wall

Postby rsduffin » Thu Feb 19, 2009 04:42:13 PM

Well, this will probably sound like whinning, but I've hit a wall and don't know where else to turn.

My husband and I worked really hard for a couple of years to improove our credit. We did and after moving from my husband home town to come here and own a property mortage free, we ended up getting into debt again. No work for a while, one thing lead to the next, to make a long story short we now own somewhere around $25K in total. Sure we own our property without mortgage, but its a mobile home and not our land. Not to mention it was sold to us elligaly and can't even be put on the market. But that is a yet another story. So the house is doing nothing for us except depreciating before our eyes because we can't aford to keep it up, and oh my god am I rambling.

Any way, if anyone has any ideas, anything would be appreciated. I make ok money, I could afford one payment to get rid of them all, but no one will lend to us here because its not our land.

Thanks for hearing me out.
