I understand the differences between the two, with each having its own purpose. It's all good.

Are we allowed to have a sense of humour on here? lol...

Okay, okay.. I'll go do dishes now. Sheesh :)

we've been fortunate to have a few people here who are knowledgable in the subject, and are willing to help..

I find that people search out this site when they get into trouble. Once they're out of trouble, the urgency passes..

As such, this forum has a little different personality

The eBay chat boards have nothing to do with eBay "management". It's solely "run" through community efforts and the generosity of complete strangers. The activity level varies with each board , of course.

Discussion threads are often monitored and aided by eBay reps, but that's a different format altogether.

The folks at ebay need to monetizing the boards... IE... there is a profit oriented reason why they're fielding so many questions.

I"m thinking that also the community helps each other out.

This is the main community (IMO) for collection agencies, creditors etc in Canada.. unless I'm mistaken. Thus the experience level is a little more limited

Actually, eBay chat boards are not all like that, Monty. Some of them - the computer board, for example - are fielding questions left and right, all day, from frustrated and uninformed posters. Myself included, on that front.. lol

Good luck with version 2!

I agree that some people have shame and embarrassment over their debts, but I believe we could help with that, you know? Money is just a "thing".

People first, things second.

Version 2 of the site will be in stages..
I'm hoping to have the home page finished in the next few weeks.

The membership portion of the site will be built over time. I have to set up dealers and advertisers etc.

The focus of the site will be better outlined.
Because we're not really selling much right at the moment, we don't have big splash pages selling things. (And the marketing department is pretty small)

Hopefully it will all be rolled out by June... in stages.
